OAP bus passenger breaks elbow after seafront crash
An elderly woman broke her elbow after a bus she was travelling on crashed with a car on Brighton seafront.
The crash happened just before lunchtime on Wednesday, 27 June. Police today launched an appeal for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
A spokesman said: “A 71-year-old woman from Peacehaven was treated for a broken elbow at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, after a car and bus were in collision on the city’s A259 Marine Parade at Marine Gate.
“The collision happened at 11.50am on Wednesday 27 June and involved a Wrightbus Streetdeck bus and a Skoda Fabia car.
“The casualty was a passenger on the bus. She was allowed home after treatment.
“Anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant dash-cam footage is asked to contact police online or phone 101, quoting serial 557 of 27/06.”
