A man has been arrested after another man was attacked in the street in Hove.
Sussex Police issued an appeal for witnesses and dash cam footage.
The force said: “Witnesses are being sought to an incident in which a 37-year-old man was attacked and injured after being approached by three men and assaulted outside the Albany Hotel, The Drive, Hove, at approximately 1.15pm on Tuesday 12 November.
“The parties involved are known to each other.”
Detective Inspector Cath O’Connor said: “We are appealing for any witnesses or drivers of passing vehicles who may have relevant dash-cam footage to come forward.
“They are asked to contact Sussex Police online or by phoning 101, quoting Operation Beret.
“Alternatively they can get in touch anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers, telephone 0800 555111, to pass on any information they may have.”
Sussex Police added: “A 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) and bailed until (Thursday) 12 December while inquiries continue.”
