A teenager has been stabbed in Brighton, Sussex Police sai this afternoon (Wednesday 1 October).

The force said: “Did you witness a serious altercation in Lavender Street, Brighton, on Saturday 13 September?

“At around 5.30pm, it was reported that a 16-year-old boy, from Brighton, was with friends outside Wiltshire House, on the bench near to the entrance.

“A group approached and an altercation has taken place and the victim sustained a serious stab wound.

“He attended hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

“Police arrested four people in connection with inquiries, three of which have since been charged.

“One remains on bail at the time of writing.

“On Tuesday 16 September, a 15-year-old boy was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

“Two further boys, aged 16 and 17, were charged with assault.

“They cannot be named due to their age.

“Following a hearing at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 16 September, they were all remanded in custody.

“As the investigation continues, we ask that if you have information, footage or photos, you make a report to police.

“You can do this online or by calling 101, quoting reference 958 of 13/09.”

Why has it taken 2 weeks+ to appeal for witnesses or CCTV? Most people would likely not have realised that the attack had occurred and valuable evidence erased or degraded by time.

I hope these filth will be named when they are found guilty. If they carry knives and stab people, they can take the consequences.
