Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in coast road crash

Three cars crashed after a dog ran on to the A27 Brighton bypass this afternoon (Friday 24 October).

It was one of four incidents in relatively quick succession that brought traffic to a standstill at times.

Two people got out of their car and managed to walk the dog to safety.

Sussex Police said: “Emergency services attended four separate incidents on the A27 north of Brighton this afternoon (Friday, October 24).

“It was reported that a dog ran on to the A27 bypass just before a three-vehicle collision took place at about 1pm, near the junction of Carden Avenue with the A27.

“In a separate incident, a box of plywood fell from the back of a lorry.

“There were also two broken-down vehicles.

“All lanes have now reopened.

“No injuries were reported as a result of any of the incidents and the dog is said to have escaped unharmed.”

Does anyone know what the dog looked like? I am searching for a blue staffy at the moment who was taken from his training center in Horly and has been missing for 6 days.

I hope everyone involved in the collision is okay and those harmed wish them a successful recovery. My thoughts are with you all.

It was a small cockerpoo looking breed, dark coat possibly a white tip on the tail.

I was one of several vehicles that put their hazards on as it ran along the road. It wasn’t staffy.

Good luck finding the dog you are looking for

Dog was a cockapoo – I know this because I am a dog walker and it ran from another dog walker. I hope you find your Blue Staffy🥲
