A jet-skier has died after he ended up in difficulty in the sea off Brighton.
The RNLI lifeboat was launched after a jet-skier was reported to be having problems, near Rottingdean, at about 1.45pm yesterday (Friday 24 October).
Sussex Police said that a 41-year-old man, from Brighton, had been brought ashore.
He received medical attention but was later pronounced dead at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton.
There were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
Police said that the coroner had been informed.
