A car driver has been arrested after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash near the Royal Sussex County Hospital early this morning.
Sussex Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Eastern Road, Brighton, early on Sunday morning (28 June).
“The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old man, from Littlehampton, suffered a serious leg injury in the collision at 4.16am.
“A 24-year-old man, from Brighton, who was driving a Ford Fiesta, has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.
“He has been interviewed and released under investigation.
“Any witnesses, and anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting serial 287 of 28/06.”
