Detectives from Sussex Police are appealing for information, after two men posing as police officers stole hundreds of pounds from elderly women.
The men carried out distractions burglaries at two homes in Summer Close, in the Fishersgate area of Southwick, at around 7pm on Friday 27 November.
According to Sussex Police, the men asked if they could go through and check the women’s back gardens for intruders to check out reports from members of the public.
After entering the women’s homes the men demanded money, stealing their pension books, and £300 from one victim and £100 from the other.
The men are described as white, clean shaven and in their mid 20s. They are about 5ft 6in tall, of medium build and with short brown hair. They wore black trousers, black jackets and black hats.
