One of the most wanted people in Brighton and Hove is to appear in court charged with breaking into a home and threatening the resident with a knife.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday 13 April on suspicion of having carried out a series of burglaries and attempted burglaries across the area.

The offences he is accused of include breaking into a home in Shelldale Road, Portslade. He is said to have threatened a teenage boy who lived there before stealing a games console and other electrical items on Tuesday 8 April.

The teenager was charged with aggravated burglary for that offence as well as burglary in Coleman Avenue, Hove, and Station Road, Portslade, attempted burglaries in Coleman Avenue and Langdale Gardens in Hove and handling stolen goods.

He was released on bail to appear at Brighton Youth Court on Thursday 3 July.

Wesley Holmes, 18, of Ingram Crescent East, Hove, was also charged with aggravated burglary for the offence in Shelldale Road and with burglaries in Coleman Avenue and attempted burglaries in Langdale Gardens and Coleman Avenue.

Sussex Police said: The charges were just some of the recent successes for officers involved in Operation Magpie, the force’s crackdown on burglars.”

You see , in some countries , the 17 year old is considered to be STILL a child SO the parents are equally held responsible for any damage or remuneration . THEY would be expected to pay for ALL damages and compensation . A stiff SIX year sentence so that he would have to serve THREE years would follow , with a few months in YOYOs ( young offender institutions ) followed by the rest in the BIG HOTEL . If this child were to break into MY home and I thrash the living daylights out of him , maybe a broken arm etc , I suspect I would be the one in prison and HE would be in the Caribbean at OUR tax payers expense recouperating ! IF he chose to steal off one of his OWN , a broken arm would be the LEAST he would expect . Naturally . The message is DONT STEAL STUFF . You may get a kicking . luv lemme
