A picture of a seagull scoffing a tub of houmous has been amusing thousands of people on Twitter this weekend.
Kathy Caton joked on Saturday lunchtime that the sight of the gull eating the middle-class favourite was the “most Brighton thing I’ve ever seen”.
By Sunday evening, she had been retweeted 184 times, reaching thousands of people.

Kathy originally tweeted the picture back in July, after she took it by the Meeting Place Cafe (which is just inches from the Hove border – fortunately the seagull was the right side or the joke wouldn’t have worked quite as well).
I hope it was Waitrose organic humous.
