A man was punched and suffered a fractured cheekbone by the taxi rank in London Road, Brighton.
The 21-year-old man had been with friends in McDonald’s when they challenged another man in the restaurant about his behaviour at about 7am on Sunday 30 November.
As they went to the taxi rank opposite the Hobgoblin pub the man started an argument with the group and then punched the victim before running off.
The victim was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, by ambulance for treatment to his injury.
A 21-year-old Hove man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) and released on bail until Monday 5 January.
