A woman was attacked and knocked unconscious in the Foredown Drive area of Portslade after a night out in Brighton.

Sussex Police said: “The victim, a 43-year-old woman, was travelling in a taxi back from Brighton with her partner when it broke down.

“She then walked off in the direction of Benfield Valley where she was assaulted by a man who knocked her to the floor and she was knocked out.
