Albion will be seeking their fourth manager in just over 16 months after Sami Hyypia resigned earlier today (Monday 22 December).
Hyypia won only three league games since taking over from Oscar Garcia in June although he did guide the club to the 4th round of the League Cup or the first time in 35 years.
Albion currently languish in the Championship relegation places and are four points from safety.
Popular former midfielder Nathan Jones is expected to take over as caretaker manager for the visit of Reading to the Amex on Boxing Day.
