Hove hairdresser given one-year ban for drink driving
A mobile hairdresser from Hove has been banned from the road after crashing her car while over the drink drive limit.
Gabrielle Brayne, 21, of Vallance Road, Hove, was arrested at 9.25pm on Tuesday 30 June after she crashed her brightly coloured Volkswagen Beetle into a Honda Jazz in King’s Crescent, Shoreham.
Brayne had 43 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of her breath.
She pleaded guilty to drink driving when she appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 16 July.
She was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £200 and ordered to pay £235 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
Sussex Police said: “A total of 85 people have so far been convicted of offences as part of Sussex Police’s summer 2015 Operation Dragonfly drink and drug driving campaign.”
