Firefighters rescued one person from a kitchen fire in Hove this afternoon (Tuesday 15 March).
They were called out to Sackville Gardens in Hove at about 2pm.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters have rescued one person from a property following a kitchen fire in Hove.
“East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service mobilised three appliances to Sackville Gardens, in Hove, at 2pm today following reports of one person still inside the property.
“Upon arrival, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued the casualty who has now been left in the care of paramedics. Everyone has been accounted for.
“Crews tackled the fire using one hose reel.”
