Bristol Rovers 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 2
Goals from debutant Aaron Connolly and a last-minute finish from veteran striker Glenn Murray saw Albion through to the third round of the League Cup.
Connolly scored on 55 minutes only to see Rovers’ Tom Nichols equalise 10 minutes later.
But it was Seagulls legend Murray who settled the tie with just seconds left.
The goal was his first of the season and one more towards the all-time scorer record.
Connolly may get another first team chance this weekend, against Manchester City.
Jurgen Locadia is strongly rumoured to be heading to Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim on loan for the rest of the season.
