A man has been charged with having a machete in a public place after police were called to a Brighton street last Friday (23 August).
Sussex Police said today (Wednesday 28 August): “A man has been charged with possessing a bladed article in public after police were called to reports of a man with a machete in Chailey Road, Brighton, on Friday (23 August).
“Officers located a man matching the description given by a member of the public and he was arrested.
“A machete was located and seized.
“No one was hurt.
“Conna Gregory, 24, of no fixed address, has been released on bail to attend Brighton Magistrates’ Court on (Thursday) 12 September.”
