Brighton at its best again. No police in the area as per normal. Little London by the sea indeed,

It is unreasonable to assume police can be everywhere, at all times. This footage, along with CCTV, will go a long way to finding the people involved.

They are drugged up to the eyeballs and couldn’t give a damn about cctv or the consequences that follow (if any)

Hence the phrasing of finding rather than preventing.

Right along Western road and North street is now a place where open drug taking and dealing is ignored by the police. All the Police have to do is have plain clothed officers to witness the dealing. Never give addicts money you are just contributing to the problem. Give food and drinks yes .

There is usually more to it then catching low-level trades, we have to respect we civvies don’t get the full picture.

You are right about giving money though. Donate to organisations who are far better equipped to support.

I keep out of Brighton it’s a violent, drug infested, filthy dump. It used to be a nice vibrant toterant place to live. Now it’s a total no go area day or night as demonstrated by this article.

You do you, Richard. I have a great time in Brighton. Some really positive people who want to do the best for others in my experience. Vibrant characters who don’t care about your background long as you’re a good person.

The government need to invest more money into public services Police, NHS, Fire services etc. If this happens there will be more police on the streets.

All of which have seen year-on-year cuts in funding in real terms. I don’t believe our current government will do anything about this issue since they are just waiting out the clock…

This is why Brighton doesn’t play a part in my life anymore. I don’t want to subject me or my family to this badly managed, filthy, rundown, drug infested, violent town. I’ll leave it to you guys and good luck to you all. Stay Safe.

    How about this.
    PUT POLICE ON THE STREETS.
You can’t do it from inside a car.

Now that’s an idea 💡 maybe someone in authority might do that one day. In the meantime look after yourself and watch your back.

Some smack head of crack head, yet no one stopped it, and before you say, have put myself out there to stop rubbish like this before and would do again.

I fled Brighton a couple of years ago for a neighbouring quieter rural location, despite having deep roots and being born in the town. It still has its occasional upsides, but seeing this, and seeing how utterly rundown and filthy it has become, confirms that I have made the right decision .

Western Road and the town centre are feeling alot more edgy. The council should be working with the police like other towns do and have a no sitting on the pavement policy and anyone begging gets a fine or made to clean graffiti after the second warning. This is meant to be a tourism city and 20% of the local economy depends on this the council and police need to get a grip.
