Electricity has been restored to hundreds of homes towards the seafront in Hove after the power supply failed at about midday today (Thursday 18 June).
Homes in the BN3 2 and the BN3 3 areas were affected by the power cut, between Hove Street in the west, Church Road and Western Road in the north and Western Street in the east.
UK Power Networks said that the electricity supply was restored at about 12.40pm.
The company said that the outage did not affect every property in the two postcode areas.
UK Power Networks said: “An underground electricity cable faulted on our high-voltage network, causing an area-wide power cut.
“We’re sorry for any disruption this may have caused you.”
