Court bans man from centre of Brighton for five years

Ryan Tyles Breach

A court has banned a man from the centre of Brighton for five years because of his persistent anti-social and criminal behaviour.

Ryan Tyles Breach

Ryan Tyles Breach, 30, of no fixed address, was given the ban as part of a criminal behaviour order issued at Brighton Magistrates’ Court.

The order bans Breach, a builder, from an area that includes St James’s Street, Queen’s Road and London Road.

Sussex Police said that he was “a persistent and repeat offender whose criminal, nuisance and anti-social behaviour has been having a detrimental impact on local businesses and the community in general”.

The force said: “In addition, he is forbidden to associate with Toby Denyer, 37, within the same area.

“Breach did not contest the order and accepted its conditions, agreeing that his behaviour has been unacceptable.

“Failure to comply with the order means Breach commits a criminal offence for which he may be sent to prison.”

PC Rich Hall, of Brighton and Hove police, welcomed the ban and said: “The public can be assured that we will continue to use anti-social behaviour legislation, as well as criminal powers, to ensure that offenders not only answer for their criminal actions but are subject to ongoing restrictions such as those now imposed on Breach.

“People can help us to ensure that Breach keeps to the court’s conditions by reporting any sightings of him in the city centre without delay.”

Sussex Police added: “Details can be reported online or by phoning 101, quoting serial 47190066355.”
