Brighton and Hove City Council has been warned to expect a shortfall in income from parking charges and parking tickets.
A report to councillors cites “a nationally recognised trend for improved compliance”.
It adds: “Should the trend be maintained then the expected income shortfall (from parking tickets) will be £500,000.
“On-street parking income is forecast to be £950,000 below target although this is largely offset by improved income generation at the refurbished London Road Car Park.”
