A man was arrested outside the Clock Tower for an assault at the North Street branch of Boots this morning.
A witness said she saw blood on the floor as a man with trousers round his legs was handcuffed by officers at about 11.30am.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “A man was arrested in central Brighton after a disturbance inside Boots in North Street.
“Police were called at 11.33am on Wednesday (August 6) and detained the man outside the store.
“A 30-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was in custody on Wednesday afternoon.”
