Masked robber steals cash from Brighton shop

A masked robber escaped with cash this morning (Friday 4 January) after threatening staff at a Brighton shop.

Sussex Police said: “Officers are investigating an early morning robbery at a Brighton convenience store.

“At 6am on Friday (4 January) a man entered the NISA Local convenience store at The Highway, Moulsecoomb, Brighton, threatened staff and stole a small quantity of cash from a till.

“No weapon was seen and nobody was hurt.

“The man was described as white, about 5ft 10in, wearing a black mask over his mouth, and a dark navy blue hoody.

“Detectives are investigating and anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious is asked to contact Sussex Police online at or call 101, quoting serial 155 of 04/01.”

    A CCTV image will be released in 3-months time to assist in identification, after you have forgotten seeing that person in that hoodie!
