Attention Brighton music fans – see 4 bands for FREE

It’s been noted that Iddy Biddy Promotions in partnership with The Western are arguably bringing some of the hottest lineups in Brighton and surrounding areas to your attention.

On Wednesday 7th August it’s the turn of Demonstrations, Youth Sector, Hallan and Temple to perform upstairs at The Western, which is located in the centre of town right by Churchill Square at 11 Cranbourne Street.

Heading up the bill on the night at the limited capacity venue are Demonstrations who are a London and Brighton based trio made up of Jess (bass), Callum (drums) and Luke (vocals/guitar) and they released latest single ‘Holy Water’ back in May. Watch them HERE and listen to them HERE.

Last week at the Hidden Herd festival we had the pleasure of watching Brighton five-piece Youth Sector performing live – read our report HERE. The band are Nick Tompkins, Josh Doyle, Brad Moore, Karl Tomlin and Harvey Dent and they clearly are influenced by Devo, Talking Heads, Gang Of Four, The Killers and Kaiser Chiefs. I feel as this act seriously has the potential to make it big despite them only being together for 18 months. Watch them HERE and listen to them HERE.

Also on the bill we be Hallan who were born from nothing and forever mutating, Hallan is a group of 4 young locals birthed in the sludge of Portsmouth. Truth, honesty and humility come together to create Hallan, combined with the experiences of an emerging adult in the complex world of the now. Expect spasmodic guitar, catchy hooks and frustrated poetry spat over a punk beat and dirty bass line something akin to IDLES, especially with their latest offering ‘Do You Think I’m Pretty?’ which was unleashed last month. Watch them HERE and listen to them HERE.

Getting the ball rolling on the night will be Temple and doors swing open at 7pm and the event will finish at 11pm. Be warned that this is a compact venue and so it’s worth arriving earlier rather than later in order to ensure admittance. This is a FREE event and punter must be ages 18+.
