The Body Shop is planning a striking new mural for its North Street branch.
The proposed artwork will cover the whole of the shop’s facade, as well as the two storeys above.
If the plans are approved by Brighton and Hove City Council, the floral design will be put in place next spring or summer.
The application, written by Mabus Consultancy Ltd, says: “This statement relates to proposed works to be undertaken in the spring/summer of 2026 and design provision in relation to accessibility for the replacement of the existing shopfront signage, a change of colour scheme to the whole of the front elevation and the installation of a mural/artwork to the upper levels of the front elevation.”
The plans also include replacing the shop’s signage.

The store has been in North Street since 1982, six years after the chain opened its first ever store in nearby Kensington Gardens.
In February last year, the business went into administration but its UK operations were rescued when they were bought by the Aurea Group in September.
The business relocated its headquarters to Lewes Road in Brighton shortly afterwards.
