A suspect violently refusing to be searched sparked a massive police response in a residential Brighton street.
The incident unfolded as officers were conducting a bail check at an address in Saunders Park View at about 3.30pm on Saturday, 24 January.
A police spokeswoman said: “A man, walking away from the premises, violently resisted arrest following a drugs search and there was a call for assistance.
“Drugs were seized from a property.
“A 41-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested for possession of a class B suspected drug and for assault on a police officer and was bailed for further enquiries.”
