Oh no! The Bourbon biscuit has been murdered? But who did it? Was it the jealous custard cream, the dull but reliable rich tea or perhaps the slightly bonkers party ring? You will need to see this show to find out!

Last night, Biscuit Barrel Comedy delivered its fast-paced sketch show at the Brighton Fringe, and we enjoyed the pure silliness of the show. With four performers and three stools, they promised to deliver 69 sketches in just one hour. Well, we lost count; wherever they were going, we went with them. We particularly enjoyed the representation of a dishwasher, the moment when one of the cast members became a pack of popcorn, and the baptism by a work-experience vicar. Each sketch made its point and then moved on, a frantic delivery of new ideas.

Throughout the performance, the biscuit references continued. The Jaffa Cake was too good for the show, the Biscoff twins were ridiculous, but the crowning moment for us was the appearance of the Garibaldi, a biscuit that was just untouchable.
Biscuit Barrel Comedy have been performing around the UK at various comedy festivals, selling over 4,000 tickets in the last few years, and it is clear that this troupe is committed to what they do. Each sketch felt different from the others, and they used their physicality well to bring the audience along as they morphed into different characters. They had few inhibitions, were completely happy to make themselves look silly for our entertainment, and we are sure they are continuing to come up with more sketch ideas daily as the show develops.

Sadly, this was the last performance in the Brighton Fringe this year, but the upcoming shows are:
Bristol Preview – 31st May 2026
Rik Mayall Comedy Festival – 7th June 2026
Hollywood Fringe – 13th June 2026
