Brighton supermarket criticised over treatment of deaf job applicant

Sussex Police has asked the Metropolitan Police for help identifying a mob of anti-social youths who rampage through the Asda branch at Brighton Marina.

The force also renewed its public appeal for information about the incident.

In a statement Sussex Police said: “Brighton and Hove Police are continuing to investigate an incident of antisocial behaviour involving a number of youths on bikes at a Brighton supermarket.

“Police responded to a report of threats made by youths at Asda, at Brighton Marina, on the afternoon of (Sunday) 23 June.”

Chief Inspector Rachel Swinney said: “We are keen to encourage any victims or witnesses who may have been in the area of the Asda store at Brighton Marina around 4.30pm on 23 June, to contact us.

“We are aware of a video circulated on social media and we are liaising with colleagues at the Metropolitan Police to identify the youths, who we believe are from the London area.

“We also received a report of threatening behaviour by a group of cyclists elsewhere at Brighton Marina that day and this has now been linked to the Asda incident.

“I want to make it very clear that we will not tolerate this type of behaviour and are working hard to track down this group.

“Local policing teams regularly patrol the Marina area and we will continue to work closely with the local business community.

“If you can assist in our investigation in any way, please report it online or call 101, quoting serial 924 of 23/06.”

The idiots YouTube channel is “Wheelie Kay”. This information has already been passed to police and I would presume nothing has been done as the script issued an “apology” video, so that means all will be well.
