Police have arrested a 32-year-old man after another man, from Brighton, reported being raped on the beach in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 21 August).
The incident is believed to have taken place at about 3am on the beach in Brighton between the Coalition night club and the sea.
Sussex Police said: “It is understood that two men had met earlier on in the evening before going for a walk along the beach where the rape has been reported to have taken place.”
Anyone who saw what happened or has any information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101.
The force said that the 32-year-old man who has been arrested on suspicion of rape remained in custody this morning.
