A picture poking affectionate fun at the Brighton i360 has became an internet hit on the day the real thing celebrated its groundbreaking ceremony.

flying donutAlex Bamford posted this picture on Twitter at 2.30pm, just as the ground was broken a few metres down the beach – and within a few hours, scores of people had retweeted or favourited it.

It’s going to be wonderful, especially for people like me who use wheelchairs. New developments comply to the legal disability access rules, which is great news for Brighton & Hove which by its historic nature is not very accessible!
