Giles Coke has given the Owls a 1-0 lead at the Amex, with a wonderful flighted shot past Albion keeper David Stockdale on his debut.
Albion have had their chances. Owls keeper Kieran Westwood saved well from Chris O’Grady and also from Kazenga LuaLua.
Bruno Saltor has been getting forward well for the Seagulls and Aaron Hughes has looked accomplished at centre back.
Christian Walton replaced Casper Ankergren as reserve keeper prior to kick off.
