Police in Brighton are seeking witnesses to an incident in the city’s Pool Valley area in which a 27-year-old local man was stabbed in the face.

He was injured between 4pm and 4.30pm on Sunday (9 August) when he was accosted by two black men and struck in the face.

It was only afterwards, when he became aware of a puncture wound to his jaw and noticed blood, that he realised he had been stabbed.

Anyone with who saw what happened or who may have other information is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1047 of 9/8.

Alternatively they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.

Why do you need to specify that the men were black? Would you say “man stabbed by two white men”? Disgraceful.

Because the police are looking for witnesses you absolute idiot. It’s a description of the two people they are looking for! I think the fact they are black is quite a big part of there description, kinda narrows it down a bit don’t you? Christ.

Because they are two black men. How can you not write that? If they are looking for two black men, then that’s what they need to say. Wow talk about political correctness.

Wow imagine if it were your family, fiends or you that had been stabbed!

I guess you’d not want as much public help finding the culprits as possible.

Bonkers…Find the attackers and let justice be served regardless of their creed, colour, race or sexuality

We would say the suspects were white if that were the case – and have done many times. We also publish any other identifying features as requested by the police, such as hair or eye colour, height and build.
Someone has been stabbed and this is a public appeal by police for help in tracing the suspects. It is very much on the public interest.

I don’t understand why is it a crime to call someone white white’and someone black black ‘ ? Just trying to find out who they were it doesn’t matter what colour they are they commuted a crime and we have to find them !

J you’re a left wing idiot the reason it says 2 black men I’mIis because the suspects ARE BLACK if it was 2 white men then it would say 2 white men put your race card back in your top pocket and shut up you idiot.
