A missing 13-year-old boy may be in Brighton, according to police.
Sussex Police said: “Essex Police are asking for help from the public to locate a 13-year-old boy, missing from his home in Westcliff.
“It is thought that Damien Howes, who was last seen leaving his home at about 2.40pm on Thursday (21 January), may be in the Brighton area.
“He was last seen heading towards Southend town centre and officers are concerned for his welfare.”
Damien was described as white, about 5ft 3in tall with short mousy brown hair. He was last seen wearing grey trousers, a red hoody, a black jacket and blue trainers.
Anyone with any information about his whereabouts is asked to phone Essex Police on 101.
