Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of another man in Brighton.
Oliver Priddle and Niraj Amaidas are alleged to have killed Cameron Devlin, 34, who was assaulted in North Street, Brighton, on Saturday 21 December 2019.
Mr Devlin, 34, a sound engineer and recording studio boss, of Albany Villas, Hove, died five days later, on Boxing Day, Thursday 26 December 2019, in the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
Priddle and Amaidas each face two charges – murder and assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.
At a hearing before Judge Jeremy Gold at Hove Crown Court last November, both men pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Today (Monday 18 May) they appeared at Lewes Crown Court before the trial judge, Dame Jennifer Eady, known as Mrs Justice Eady.
The pair were once again remanded on conditional bail.
The conditions include a 9pm to 6am curfew, enforced by electronic tagging, and a requirement to live and sleep at their respective addresses.
Their trial by jury is due to start on Wednesday 3 June and could take up to seven weeks. It is expected to be held at Brighton Crown Court.
An inquest into the death of Mr Devlin has been opened and adjourned to a date and place yet to be set.
