The annual gardening competition’s prize ceremony was held at the Thistle Hotel yesterday afternoon.

Individual residents, communities and businesses are recognized for their part in improving the appearance of the city and for making it a more attractive place to live, work and visit.

The ceremony was attended by The Mayor and Mayoress of Brighton Brian and Norah Fitch and a raffle was held in aid of the Mayor’s charities.

The MC for the awards was Jean Griffin of “Dig It” Radio Sussex & Surrey and Radio Kent gardening expert.
