Saltdean Lido owner calls more public meetings

The owner of Saltdean Lido has called two more public meetings about its controversial plans to concrete over the outside pool and build 100 flats.

Dennis Audley said in March he was being forced to close the Grade II listed pool after making massive losses every year.

But the announcement in March sparked an outcry, and now almost 6,500 people have joined a Facebook protest group.

The new follow-up meetings are at 2.30pm and 4.30pm on Monday, May 17 at the Saltdean Community Centre.
