  • A 16-year-old Brighton boy was arrested in Madeira Drive for breach of the peace. He has been bailed until Sunday 12 December.

Police said that the march from Dyke Road Park in Hove to Victoria Gardens in Brighton went peacefully but was followed by disturbances.

Poundland in Western Road suffered some looting and the Vodafone shop in Churchill Square was again targeted by protesters.

The demonstration, attended by about 2,500 people, was against cuts in higher education spending and proposed rises in university tuition fees.

Mark Ford filmed a live stream of protesters in North Street and Bond Street, Brighton, during protests yesterday.

Embedded video from his stream can be seen below.
