Albion are on course for their biggest defeat of the season as Cardiff scored twice in quick succession early in the match.
Peter Whittingham scored Cardiff’s first followed almost immediately by Anthony Pilkington who latched on to the result of a poor David Stockdale clearance and fired past the Albion keeper to double the Bluebirds’ lead. As Albion tried to find a way back an unkind bounce saw the ball fall for Lex Immers who slid a third past Stockdale.
For Albion Bobby Zamora and Inigo Calderon have had chances and Jiri Skalak has looked livley.
