A drug dealer has been jailed for two years after being caught red-handed in Brighton.
Endri Lamaj, 23, was reported to police after being spotted appearing to deal drugs in the Sillwood Road area of Brighton on Monday 4 August.
Sussex Police said: “Officers were able to identify a suspect from footage captured near by.”
The next day, Lamaj was seen by officers in John Street – the same street as Brighton police station.
Police followed and detained him and searched him under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Lamaj not only complied with officers during the search but he even offered them drugs while admitting the offence. The offer was caught on body-worn video.
Police found 11 zip bags of cocaine and about £1,300 cash and arrested him on suspicion of having class A drugs with intent to supply and took him into custody.

Lamaj, who refused to say where he lived, was charged in the early hours of Wednesday 6 August with having cocaine with intent to supply in Grove Hill, Brighton.
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on the same day when District Judge Amanda Kelly remanded him in custody.
A month later, on Wednesday 3 September, Lamaj pleaded guilty to the offence in a hearing at Lewes Crown Court.
Judge Christine Laing, the honorary recorder of Brighton and Hove, sentenced him the same day to two years in prison.
The judge ordered him to forfeit the cash and pay a £187 victim surcharge while also ordering the forfeiture and destruction of all the drugs and associated paraphernalia.
Chief Inspector Simon Marchant, of the Neighbourhood Policing Team in Brighton, said: “The local community played a vital role in providing intelligence that enabled officers to apprehend Lamaj and remove him from the streets.
“The harm caused by drug dealing goes far beyond a single street transaction. It brings disruption to residents, fuels anti-social behaviour and creates a general sense of insecurity within the community.
“Patrols are proactively ongoing in the area and we remain committed to achieving outcomes like this.
“Reporting is vital, evidence is key and together we will continue delivering results.”

Another wonky eyed inbred immigrant, probably a doctor or engineer fallen on hard times. We only bring in the best!
Picking on someone’s disabilities, and how they look, is just really unpleasant thing to do. No, matter what the circumstances are and the scathing judgement from your tongue is not yours to give!
It is mine and mine alone! Suck it up buttercup!
Thank you Samantha for understanding someone dissability,i wanna apologise to the good people like you for what you have seen on the video,i wish i had been able to manage things differenly,i have served my time for what i did,i am not proud, many people will ask maybe why i am replying after 2 months, first of all i have been in jail in the last 4 months, second of all i feel like i have a duty to explain myself to the public!
Eyes like pools – football pools. One home – one away!
Well i wish this kind of dissability on no one but you are no one to judge people ,the thing is that the police wanted to make me an example for others to see, anyone makes mistakes i understand,at the same time it is not my fault that you british people love doing cocaine, about the inbreeding stuff unlike you no one is inbred here,so if you wanna be a hero and type some insanity behind the keyboard carry on,at least i went in jail like a man for drug dealing not for rape, murder, stealing,or phedofilia like most of you brits do,so life goes on i am a free man now i apologise to the good people of uk
So why can’t we remove him to El Salvador or Uganda.
There “Mortgage Rate Eyes”
Ones fixed, the others variable.
Rumours are that he used to be a teacher, but he couldn’t control his pupils.
Good another scummy drug dealer inside! Message to all you dealers .. the public are watching you !
I once bought a pair of shoes from a drug dealer.
I don’t know what he laced them with, but I was tripping for days!
Well done to the residents of Sillwood Rd and the police. Residents are now getting sick of these dealers. Some residents almost beat up some junkies in Brunswick Square a few weeks ago. People are now standing up and saying enough is enough and filming and shouting at these people and calling 999 when they see them and driving them out of town. Next stop should be stopping the open dealing outside the vape shops in Western Rd and getting these shut down.
What about the dealing inside the vape shops lol. Unbelievable these fronts are still here and idiots actually buy fake tobacco from them

Couldn’t see the officers coming
well funny comment LOL
Tbh I’ve seen the video and if you haven’t then it’s well worth 90 seconds of your day. Guys high as hell, not only admits holding but where it is and that he’s also ‘High on (his) own supply” . From memory ” Yeah I lick it. I lick it. You want some. Here have some with me. Have a lick” — or words to that effect.
I can only presume his downfall was tying the string of the kite he was high on to a street sign. Thus enabling the police to reel him in back to ground level
Thank you for seeing the video, indeed even me as soon as i saw myself in that video i got surprised,i wasnt high to be honest,i didnt get high on my own supply,i said to them “yeah, take it all”,the reason why i said you want some was just to piss him off,it is not true i wasnt high at all,i just didnt want to run from police, lets be honest you get caught even if you run,so dont waste your time
Another imported pof? Get rid of him as soon as he’s done his time.
