Police name cyclist killed at Stanmer

The woman cyclist who died yesterday has been named by Sussex Police.

Joanna Walters, 28, of Westbourne Street,Hove, was killed as she cycled through the underpass in Lewes Road at Stanmer on the edge of Brighton.

The Brighton University student died after a collision with a van. The male van driver was unhurt.

The accident happened at about midday yesterday (Tuesday 13 July).

Sussex Police urged anyone who saw the collision to call 0845 6070999.
