A Hove father was bemused to come home on Friday to find his parcel delivered – but left on top of his roof.
Benjamin Ward ordered a parcel of clothes for his son, which were delivered by MyHermes.
But the courier somehow managed to put the package onto his roof. And when Mr Ward opened his door, he found a card apologising for the error, saying the parcel was “stuck on roof – sorry!”
Thanks @myhermes for delivering my parcel so it’s 20ft high stuck to the roof! Great care taken! #Hermes pic.twitter.com/zN4IhCq95d

The tweet has now had almost 3,000 retweets and has been favourited more than 1,000 times.
Mr Ward said: “I approached the house looked up and saw it there. Then got inside to see the card! I just laughed! I shared it on Twitter expecting a few retweets and it just went crazy.”
MyHermes apologised to him, saying: “Your local courier is currently on his way back to your address with a ladder.”
