A man has died after he fell from the clifftop at Saltdean this morning (Wednesday 7 December).
The emergency services were called out shortly after 7.30am.
Sussex Police said: “Just after 7.35am a man was seen to fall from the top the cliffs at Saltdean, opposite the bottom of Longridge Avenue, on to the Undercliff Walk below.
“Sadly he was confirmed dead at the scene. He is a 54-year-old local man. The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner’s officer will be continuing inquiries.
“The Undercliff Walk was closed while emergency services attended the scene but was reopened just before 9am.”
