Detectives investigating the stabbing of a man in Elm Grove, Brighton, are today interviewing a 40-year-old man who was arrested in London late last night on suspicion of the murder.
The victim, 51-year-old Gordon Stalker, of 67 Elm Grove, was found dead in the hallway of the address where he had lived for 16 years after being attacked at about 10am on Monday.
A post-mortem examination at Brighton Mortuary on Tuesday established that his death had been caused by a number of stab wounds to the chest and side of his body.
A memorial will be held for Mr Stalker at the Lewes Road Community Garden, where he was well known, on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.
