Police are hunting for a man who robbed the Natwest Bank in Church Road, Hove, at 1.40pm today (Tuesday, March 8 ).
The robber queued up in bank and then passed a note to the cashier demanding money.
Once she handed the money over, he left the building on the corner of Tisbury Road and made off.
He is likely to be covered in purple dye after a security device on the cash was activated.
Police are linking this robbery with two others – one at the Co-Operative Bank on Western Road, Brighton on Tuesday, March 1 and one at the Halifax in George Street, Hove, on Friday, February 25.
Detective Sergeant Chris Sherwell said: “We are linking the three robberies to the same man.
“We are appealing for any customers who were in the bank at the time or who left when they realised what was going on to come forward with information.”
The man is described as being aged in his late 40s, with shaved fair hair, of slim build with a pointy-shaped face.
He was wearing a beige-coloured baseball cap and dark jacket with a large collar.
He was carrying a blue-coloured carrier bag and may have taken off his cap when he left the bank.
