A £1,000 reward is being offered by police for information leading to the arrest of an escaped prisoner who is believed to have burgled three properties in Brighton and Hove.
Convicted murderer and burglar Paul Flint, 48, is wanted after absconding from Ford Prison in West Sussex on Monday 1 July.
He is suspected of burgling a home in Granville Road, Hove, at 11am on Monday 8 July and a property in Cross Street, Hove, between 8am and 10.30am on Monday 15 July.
He is also believed to have committed a burglary in Dean Street, Brighton, 10.10am and 11.10am on Monday 5 August.
More than £2,500 cash was taken along with a black wallet and a black Sony Vaio laptop with the model number VPCEH1L8E/B.
Flint was described as black, 5ft 11in tall and stocky. He has black greying hair, wears glasses and has an English accent. He has Paul tattooed on to the fingers of his left hand.
He was jailed in 1990 for killing a man during a burglary in London in 1989.
Sussex Police said that officers were working with the Metropolitan Police to trace him as he was believed to be hiding in north London.
Detective Inspector Dave Richards said: “This reward has been offered to help encourage anyone who may have any information about where Paul Flint is to come forward.
“We would urge anyone who knows of his whereabouts to make contact with police.
“We think he is likely to commit more offences unless he is arrested so I would urge anyone that sees him to contact us immediately.
“Please do not approach him. Just dial 999.
“We have recent information that suggests Flint may be in North London.”
