A Brighton man has died after falling 30ft from cliffs in Saltdean last night.
The 31-year-old was seriously injured in the fall and confirmed dead at the scene.
A police spokeswoman said: “At 8.40pm on Monday, 28 July a man was seen to fall about 30ft from a cliff edge off Marina Drive, Saltdean, onto the Lower Promenade. sustaining serious injuries.
“The air ambulance and paramedics attended but he was confirmed dead at the scene soon afterwards.
“He is believed to be a 31-year old Brighton man but he has not yet been formally identified.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and the Coroners Officer is continuing enquiries.”
