Officers from Sussex Police have arrested 51-year-old Derek Walsh, who was wanted for recall to prison.
Walsh, of no fixed address, was arrested in Brighton and returned to custody.
Sussex Police said: “Thanks to the public and the media for their help tracing him.”
Walsh, who comes from Liverpool, was sentenced to four years in prison two years ago for selling class A drugs. He was released on licence in April this year.
Officers started looking for him to return him to prison after he broke the terms of his prison release licence.
