Police are hunting a mugger who robbed a man in his eighties in a Brighton street.
Sussex Police published security camera pictures of the suspect today (Monday 16 February) and issued a plea for help to identify him.
The force said: “Do you recognise this person after an elderly man was robbed in St James’s Street, Brighton?
“On Monday 2 February at around 8.30am, it was reported that a man in his 80s eighties was approached by a man who went on to grab his wallet from him, stealing cash and cards.
“The incident happened near to the junction of George Street and the suspect is reported to have fled on foot along Charles Street.
“We would like to speak with the man in the images in connection with ongoing inquiries.
“Do you feel you have information to report? Contact police online or by calling 101, quoting reference 583 of 02/02.”
