There has been a stabbing at The Level, according to unconfirmed reports on social media.
An air ambulance was reported to have landed there late this afternoon after a number of approaches.
One commenter on Facebook said: “Major incident at The Level. Loads of police, helicopter landed, ambulance and armed police.”
Another said that a patient was taken to hospital by road in an ambulance as others said that police appeared to be searching in the area.
Sussex Police were asked for details but had not responded at the time of publication.
