A man has been arrested Woodingdean on suspicion of indecent exposure.
His arrest yesterday followed an operation by Sussex Police.
Detective Inspector Steve Warner said: “Detectives and neighbourhood officers have been conducting a plain-clothed police operation to catch a man who indecently exposed himself in gardens in Cowley Drive.
“Officers arrested a 26-year-old local man at the scene and have taken him into police custody for questioning.
“Although no attempt has ever been made by the offender to enter the homes or make physical contact with anyone, this can been distressing to the local community and I’d like to thank them for their support during this investigation.”
Detectives have been investigating five incidents of indecent exposure in Brighton between March and July this year.
