A Portslade youth group has been given a £400 cheque after police sold unclaimed lost property.
The cheque was handed over to the Crusader Youth Group, which is based at the Southern Cross Evangelical Church in Trafalgar Road, Portslade.
The money will be spent on a laptop so children can watch films in the church hall and play games in the area set aside for the club.
Police Community Support Officer Emma Swan, of Sussex Police, handed over the cheque to Toy Heyward, who runs the youth group.
She was joined by fellow PCSO Nicola Johnson.
The money comes from the Police Property Act Fund which makes grants to local charitable causes.
The fund raises money by selling lost property handed in to police which is unclaimed and for which no owner can be identified.
